I am thrilled to share the news of a significant milestone in my political journey. Last night, at the local Conservative Party meeting in the Brent & Harrow constituency of London, I achieved a momentous victory: I am now officially the Conservative party's candidate for the Greater London Assembly in the upcoming May 2024 elections. Competing against two other candidates, I secured the majority vote in the first round, a testament to the faith and trust placed in me by our party members.
I am immensely honored by these results and profoundly grateful to everyone who has believed—and continues to believe—in me. This achievement is not mine alone; it is shared with each one of you who has supported me along this path.
Brent & Harrow, our constituency, is a vibrant and diverse community, home to over 590,000 people. During the meeting, when asked about my main priorities, I reiterated my steadfast commitment: my priorities will always reflect the needs and aspirations of our citizens. This is my guiding principle, one that I hold dear.
As an entrepreneur and a devoted family man, father to four children, I understand our community's concerns intimately. That's why public safety is at the top of my agenda. We need to ensure that our streets are safe, that our families feel secure, and that our children can grow up in a community free from fear.
Another key focus will be on the development and diversification of our infrastructure. We all experience the frustrations of traffic congestion; improving our infrastructure is not just about convenience but about enhancing the quality of life for everyone in our community.
Furthermore, I plan to concentrate on developing the business environment in Brent & Harrow. With my extensive entrepreneurial background, I am excited to create a comprehensive plan to attract investments and open up new business opportunities in our constituency.
As we gear up for the 2024 Mayor of London elections, the support and votes of our community, including the those who never voted, will be pivotal. This is just the beginning of a journey, one that I am proud to embark on with your support.
